3rd International Conference on “Openness of State Archives and Memory Studies”

Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) cordially invites to attend the upcoming 3rd International Conference:

“Openness of State Archives and Memory Studies”

The conference will be held on December 16, 2021, at 12:00 in the Holiday Inn Tbilisi Hotel

(Address: 26th May Square, Tbilisi). Attending will be possible via the Zoom platform too.

In the upcoming 3rd International Conference, an increased focus will be drawn on the transformations and challenges in the field of archives and archival accessibility. Besides the matters related to the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on archival openness, the conference will also cover the relevant judiciary issues and prospects on popularizing archival research.

IDFI will present its most recent large-scale research on the openness of the state departmental archives in post-Soviet Georgia.

The Conference is organized by the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI), with the support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
