CfP: Political economy of Eurasia

Dear colleagues,

We are accepting the proposals for the fifth annual workshop Politics and Political Economy of Eurasia (formerly the Midwest Eurasian Political Economy Workshop), which will be held at the annual meeting of the Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) on April 4-7, 2024.

The goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers interested in the wide region from Eastern Europe to Central Asia whose research addresses the pressing issues of the region’s politics and political economy. Potential topics include but are not limited to political institutions and behavior, regime dynamics, economic development and policies, historical political economy, and governance. The geographical scope includes Central Asia, South Caucasus, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, the Baltic States, and post-communist countries in Eastern Europe. Comparative studies are particularly welcome.
