On this day, exactly a year ago, we launched The Caucasus Through Time Network to the public. On that day, amidst a global challenge, two people pitched an initiative that sat on no more than a screen and heartfelt commitment to create something new. Since then, that wish has grown to a fully operational virtual institution, now comprising ten committee members, a record of numerous interdisciplinary online events, and over 300 active members on our mailing list. None of this would have been possible without your nourishing support. As we approach the CTTN first birthday, we would like to thank you all!
Our events have brought together an innumerable number of spectators from every corner of the world. Through these we have addressed extant topics and hosted fruitful discussions with the help of talented early career researchers working in the Caucasus and engaged in diverse research fields. No matter the time or the space, whether as speakers or audience, on every occasion you have welcomed with enthusiasm our challenge to step out of the comfort zone to create new synergies, share outside of your field, and build new bridges across the globe. You are not just helping the Network…you ARE the Network!
To celebrate these great accomplishments, we are inviting you to the CTTN First Year Anniversary online event on January 28th at 2-4 pm GMT— 6-8pm Baku/Tbilisi/Yerevan time. We will discuss the past, present, and future of the Network. The event will also feature guest speakers, who will share their stories about their experience working in the Caucasus, including challenges, strategies and solutions, and who will offer advice to our young Network. Following a roundtable, all invitees will have a chance for questions and more one-on-one chats. Please find the attached files for more details.
The event will take place over Zoom. Please register in advance using the Zoom link above. The Zoom link will be sent upon registration. If there are ever any questions or concerns, particularly involving the Zoom link, please feel free to email us directly.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Bests wishes,
The Caucasus Through Time Network
