International conference and summer school “Remembering the Georgian Democratic Republic 100 Years On: A Model for Europe?”

In celebration of the centenary anniversary of the independence proclamation of the Georgian Democratic Republic, Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in conjunction with the National Archive of Georgia, National Parliamentary library of Georgia, National Museum of Georgia and American Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC) organizes a scientific forum entitled: “Remembering the Georgian Democratic Republic 100 Years On: A Model for Europe?” from 25 to 30 June, 2018. The forum is conducted with the financial support of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. The Forum consists of the international scientific conference and the international summer school.

The forum will feature most prominent international scholars working on the First Democratic Republic, as well as established and emerging local historians. 10 Georgian and 10 foreign students will participate in the international summer school. Georgian and foreign scientists will give lectures for the summer school participants.

Working languages of the forum are: Georgian, English.
