Funding Opportunity: NCEEER Title VIII Programs Announcement – 2024

The National Council for Eurasian and East European Research invites applications to its 2024 Title VIII Competitions for the following programs:

The Title VIII National Research Competition

The Title VIII National Research Competition supports advanced research on Title VIII eligible countries (below) on topics that are of relevance to current US foreign policy. Individual awards are up to $20,000 and collaborative awards are up to $40,000. Applicants must be US citizens and PhD holders.

The Title VIII Short Term Research Grant

The Title VIII Short Term Research Grant supports brief, targeted research travel to Central Asia, Russia, the Caucasus or the Balkans, on topics that are of relevance to current US foreign policy. Awards are up to $3,000. Applicants must be US citizens and PhD holders.

The Title VIII Dissertation Completion Grant

The Title VIII Dissertation Completion Grant supports doctoral candidates in the final year of dissertation work at US institutions. Applicants will have 9-12 months remaining prior to the defense of their dissertations, on topics concerning eligible countries of the region (below) and of relevance to current US foreign policy. Awards are up to $20,000. Applicants must be US citizens.
