


{"id":11660,"date":"2024-09-26T01:03:58","date_gmt":"2024-09-26T01:03:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arisc.org\/?p=11660"},"modified":"2024-09-26T01:04:00","modified_gmt":"2024-09-26T01:04:00","slug":"cfa-writing-across-boundaries-program-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arisc.org\/?p=11660","title":{"rendered":"CFA: Writing Across Boundaries Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To integrate new research and perspectives from underrepresented regions and groups in English-language publishing outlets in Russian, Eurasian and East European Studies, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Melikian Center for Russian, Eurasian and East European Studies at Arizona State University, and University of Amsterdam are inviting applications for their <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/writingacrossboundaries\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Writing Across Boundaries Program<\/a>. <strong>The application is due no later than Thursday, November 7, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, and other early career scholars from all disciplines and academic training in the arts and humanities and the social sciences are encouraged to <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/oP1pi7QbeYxxpX5d9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">apply<\/a>.&nbsp;The overall goal of this program is to familiarize authors with different stages of developing a manuscript. These include:&nbsp;<br>Identifying journals for publication;Interpreting submission guidelines and requirements;Working with drafts;&nbsp; Structuring effective arguments;Understanding the peer review process;Conducting revisions and incorporating feedback from reviewers;Communicating with editors and editorial staff;&nbsp; Interpreting article acceptance and rejection notices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Application Requirements:&nbsp; Resume or CV&nbsp; An advanced draft of your manuscript [unpublished or not currently under review]. 6,000-8,000 words, with complete references.
