Research papers will be accepted on all aspects of Armenian studies, including but not limited to language, literature, history, gender studies, sociology, anthropology, economics, and art history. Papers that make use of comparative themes and interdisciplinary approaches are particularly encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants are asked to\u00a0submit\u00a0an abstract of no more than 250 words and a\u00a0brief\u00a0curriculum vitae by\u00a01<strong>1:59pm (PST) on\u00a0September\u00a010,\u00a02025<\/strong>. Please submit\u00a0your proposal\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/HFDr7pYF7cdea9Cs8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abstracts should be written in a&nbsp;manner&nbsp;accessible to a broad academic audience (i.e. limit the use of discipline-specific jargon) and should provide a clear, focused description of the topic as well as the paper\u2019s theoretical perspectives. Each abstract will be given a blind review by the committee and will be evaluated based on the originality of the topic and the clarity of the&nbsp;exposition&nbsp;with regard to&nbsp;argument,&nbsp;methodology,&nbsp;and expression. Priority of acceptance will be given to those who have not presented at the colloquium in previous years. Please note that a 20-minute time limit will be strictly enforced for each paper (roughly&nbsp;7-8&nbsp;pages, double-spaced).
