{"id":5375,"date":"2019-05-12T20:52:17","date_gmt":"2019-05-12T20:52:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arisc.org\/?p=5375"},"modified":"2019-05-12T20:52:18","modified_gmt":"2019-05-12T20:52:18","slug":"position-title-research-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arisc.org\/?p=5375","title":{"rendered":"Position title:\u00a0Research Director"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Reporting to:&nbsp;Country Director<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Position Summary<br>Under the supervision of the Executive Director of CRRC Armenia, the Research Director (RD) contributes to ongoing research, especially in surveys; generates research output in various forms (reports, data briefs, blog, presentations); and leads methodological innovation and training. Some contribution to research project management and operations is part of the profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Principal Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Works with CRRC Armenia team to develop and enhance ongoing research, providing insight and scholarly innovation, especially in survey research.<\/li><li>Helps to generate research output, calibrated to the highest standards, in a range of different formats, to reach a broad audience for CRRC\u2019s work.<\/li><li>Leads and contributes to capacity building in research methodology, based on CRRC\u2019s innovative methods.<\/li><li>Contributes to additional public outreach internationally and locally, and contributes to regular production and updates of CRRC outreach and PR materials, including e-bulletin, website and blogs.<\/li><li>Contributes to research project management as appropriate, to ensure maximum impact of CRRC research project.<\/li><li>Occasionally represents CRRC Armenia and its research at scholarly seminars, conferences, and other events as needed.<\/li><li>Coordinates CRRC\u2019s main research tool, the Caucasus Barometer, across the three countries<\/li><li>Undertakes other duties as needed to further CRRC\u2019s overall goals.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Expected Qualifications<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Education:<br>Educational attainment must be to the level of PhD, preferably in social sciences with extensive independent research experience. In exceptional cases, a candidate with a Master&#8217;s degree may be considered if he\/she has conducted extensive independent research on a level equivalent to PhD.<br>Experience and skills:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Five to ten years of progressively responsible and demonstrated results in research in an international context, with an application of quantitative research.<\/li><li>Outstanding organizational, written and oral communication skills are required.
