


{"id":6507,"date":"2019-07-26T01:08:43","date_gmt":"2019-07-26T01:08:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arisc.org\/?p=6507"},"modified":"2019-07-26T01:09:14","modified_gmt":"2019-07-26T01:09:14","slug":"cfa-open-research-laboratory-at-illinois","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arisc.org\/?p=6507","title":{"rendered":"CFA: Open Research Laboratory at Illinois"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center (REEEC) at the \nUniversity of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is now accepting applications\n from regional specialists \n(including advanced graduate students, faculty, independent scholars, \nand library science or other professionals with appropriate \nqualifications) to conduct short-term research concerning all aspects of\n Russian, eastern European, and Eurasian studies in conjunction with the\n fall Open Research Laboratory (ORL), which will take place from \nSeptember 1\u201330. Those applicants who are\n US citizens and whose research holds relevance for US foreign policy \nmay also apply for US Department of State Title VIII fellowships to \nsupport their visits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> The application <strong>deadline is August 15, 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> WHAT THE LAB OFFERS:<br> \u2022 Full access to the physical and electronic collections of the University of Illinois Library.<br> \u2022 Use of the Library\u2019s technological resources, including advanced scanning equipment and other resources.<br> \u2022 Consultations with the Slavic Reference Service.<br> \u2022 Opportunities to participate in REEEC programming (lectures, workshops, conferences, etc.).<br> \u2022 The help of REEEC staff in answering logistical questions related to your stay.<br> \u2022 Informal meetings with local scholars as desired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FINANCIAL AID: US DEPARTMENT OF STATE TITLE VIII FELLOWSHIPS<br>  Applicants who are U.S. citizens and who are conducting policy-relevant  research may apply for a Title VIII fellowship to support their visits.
