The\n CAORC Multi-Country Research Fellowship Program supports advanced \nregional or trans-regional research in the humanities, social sciences, \nor allied natural sciences for U.S. doctoral candidates and scholars who\n have already earned their PhD. Preference will be given to candidates \nexamining comparative and\/or cross-regional research. Applicants are \neligible to apply as individuals or in teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Scholars \nmust carry out research in two or more countries outside the United \nStates, at least one of which hosts a participating American overseas \nresearch center. Approximately eight awards of up to $11,000 each will \nbe given. Funding is provided by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau \nof Educational and Cultural Affairs.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each year\n the highest ranking Multi-Country Fellowship applicant will receive an \nadditional $1,000 toward travel expenses through the Mary Ellen Lane \nMulti-Country Travel Award. The award is named after CAORC’s founding \ndirector, Dr. Mary Ellen Lane. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
