The pandemic has\npaused US-South Caucasus partnerships, and research outcomes may be impacted\nfor some time to come. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nAmerican Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC) invites you to attend\na roundtable discussion: \u201cResearch in the South Caucasus in the Time of\nCOVID-19 &amp; Beyond.\u201d Panelists will discuss the different ways research in\ntheir disciplines has been affected due to the global pandemic, challenges and\nopportunities for scholars and students to continue research, potential\ncreative solutions to getting past the current barriers, as well as the\npost-COVID future of research in each panelist&#8217;s discipline. The virtual format\nfor the roundtable will include a series of short (5-7 minute) presentations\nfrom researchers representing a range of disciplines and working in different\ncountries of the South Caucasus, followed by a moderated discussion with the\naudience. With so many collaborations on hold, this roundtable will offer our\ncommunity a chance to come together and discuss new ideas for thinking through\nresearch projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roundtable\nPresenters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Lori Khatchadourian (Cornell University)<\/li><li>Leah Feldman (University of Chicago)<\/li><li>Giorgi Khelashvili (Director of Research at the Georgian Parliament)<\/li><li>Anna Oldfield (Coastal Carolina University)<\/li><li>Malkhaz Toria (Ilia State University)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Roundtable Moderator: Kate Franklin (Birkbeck University of\nLondon)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event is free and open to the public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration is required.
