The talk will provide an overview of Mr. Agadjanian’s recent and current research projects focused on the association of international migration with family and health outcomes in the former Soviet Union (the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Russia) and Sub-Saharan Africa. He will present the conceptual approaches, research designs, and analytic models. Mr. Agadjanian will discuss selected findings and their implications for the understanding of the place of international migration in societal reproduction and transformation in these transitional settings.
