‘Armenia & Byzantium without Borders III’ a three-day virtual workshop will be host on 10-11 September 2021, Vienna focusing on social and cultural mobility between Armenia and Byzantium in the Middle Ages. This workshop continues a scholarly conversation initiated in April 2018 at the University of Vienna by Dr. Emilio Bonfiglio and Prof. Claudia Rapp and now run in joint partnership with Dr. David Zakarian and Prof. Theo Maarten van Lint at the University of Oxford.
The Moving Byzantium Project (Project Leader, Prof. Claudia Rapp) financed by the FWF (Austrian National Research Foundation).
