The American Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC) announces the availability of small grants in support of research in the South Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, and/or Georgia) for graduate and undergraduate students of the South Caucasus. The small grant in the amount of up to 300$ will be granted to students representing all fields of social sciences, humanities and related sciences. Deadline for application is December 18, 2020. In order to facilitate the process of application and disseminate the information, on November 30, 2020 ARISC will organize an Open-Door Day for potential applicants. The session will cover the following topics:
- The application process, including eligibility
- Required documentation
- How to prepare the application package (proposal development, budgeting, project timeline)
- Reporting requirements

Bio of the speaker: Diana Lezhava has joined ARISC in 2014 as a Resident Director and since then directs ARISC Georgia Branch. At the same time, she is an Administrative Director of the Center for Social Sciences, Georgia, and a Higher Education Expert of European Commission Erasmus+ Programme of Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education. She has an extensive experience in grant writing and management, including research project development and administration. Within her capacity as an Erasmus+ expert she evaluates project proposals submitted to the EACEA Capacity Building programme, thus having an experience of expert evaluator as well.
