Leyla Rustamli received her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and International Law from Azerbaijan University of Languages in 2006 and her Master’s degree from Baku State University in 2009, majoring on Middle Eastern countries. She has been the awardee of the fellowship to study at the Rothberg International School of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel) for Graduate Student Program in 2007-2008 academic years. Her research interests include security issues of Middle Eastern countries with a focus on Israel, transnational terrorism, ethnic and national conflicts and peace study. She attended Peace Research Courses of Oslo University (Norway) in summer 2014. Leyla started her career as an instructor at the International Relations Department of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) in 2009. She currently is a faculty member of the International Relations Department of AUL. Throughout May – September 2009 and January – August 2010 she has been the country representative of ARISC in Azerbaijan. She also taught in Middle Eastern Program at Baku State University in 2009-2010. At the moment she is a PhD candidate at the Philosophy, Sociology and Law Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
