The Endowment is seeking an assistant to provide administrative and programmatic support to the Eurasia region of the group, with a specific focus on Russia, who will be based out of DC. The program assistant will be responsible for providing support on grant writing to NGO’s focused on the Eurasia/Russia region, maintain accurate proposal and database information, providing general administrative support, researching information for Senior Director and Program Officers, and other general assistance tasks.
The National Endowment for Democracy is a private non-profit dedicated to the “growth and strengthening of democratic institutions around the world”, through the provision of over a 1,000 annual grants and project support in over 90 countries. Competitive applicants will hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, strong proficiency in Russian, strong written/communication skills in English and Russian, knowledge of the political and social issues of the Eurasia region, and any possible relevant experience. The program assistant must be able to work inside the United States.
