This lecture is developed for people interested in completing a master’s or doctoral degree in the United States. The goal of this lecture is to walk prospective applicants through the process of applying to a graduate program in the social sciences or humanities. We will discuss the different application pieces required, how to prepare a strong application, and what issues to consider when applying to a graduate program.
Talin Lindsay has sixteen years’ experience working in university administration in the US. She served as the Graduate Program Assistant in the Department of Germanic, Slavic and Semitic Studies as well as the Comparative Literature Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara for four years. Ms. Lindsay was also the Graduate Program Assistant in the Department of Anthropology at Purdue University for eleven years.
