The American Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC) is organizing an online workshop on developing research proposals for graduate and undergraduate students and early career scholars, who are interested in applying for research funding in social sciences and humanities. The workshop will last for 2 hours and will focus on the following topics:
· Identifying a research gap and developing research question(s)
· Developing a problem statement
· Developing a research aim and objectives
· Research methodology
The event will be led by ARISC Georgia Resident Director, Ms. Diana Lezhava.
Bio of the speaker: Diana Lezhava joined ARISC in 2014 as a Resident Director and directs the ARISC Georgia Branch. She is an Assistant and Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), Georgia, and a Higher Education Expert of European Commission Erasmus+ Programme of Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education. She has extensive experience in grant writing and management, including research project development and administration. Within her capacity as an Erasmus+ expert she evaluates project proposals submitted to the EACEA Capacity Building programme, giving her experience as an expert evaluator as well. Ms. Lezhava conducts research on higher education and the labor market and is the author of several respective academic publications.
