The 16th Annual Meetings of the Armenian Economic Association will be held in Yerevan, Armenia, from
June 29 to July 1, 2026
, hosted under the auspices of the American University of Armenia. The organizers look
forward to another year of rigorous research, stimulating discussions, and vibrant intellectual exchange.

Régis Barnichon (Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco), Ulrich Doraszelski (Wharton School, University
of Pennsylvania), Jan Eeckhout (Universitat Pompeu Fabra), and Joseph Kaboski (University of Notre
Dame) are the confirmed keynote speakers.


The deadline to submit a complete paper or an abstract is March 6, 2026. Please submit your research
through the online submission portal. Proposals for complete sessions are strongly encouraged. To
organize a session, please reach out to Vladimir Asriyan or Tatevik Sekhposyan for coordination. This is a
general-interest conference that welcomes submissions across all fields of economics.


Several best paper awards recognize outstanding research, including the Grigor Artsruni award for young
scholars, the Armen Alchian award for general-interest papers, the Voskeni Wines award for Agricultural
and Environmental Economics, and the International Monetary Fund award for papers in
macroeconomics, and Ashot Mkrtchyan Award by the Central Bank of Armenia for policy-relevant works,
among others. Submission of full papers is required for award consideration. See previous recipients here.

A limited number of travel grants are available, particularly for early-career researchers based in Europe
and the region. Please indicate your interest when submitting.
